So my sweet hubby suprised me with a kitchenaid mixer for christmas, i have been wanting one soooo bad so i was so excited to get this, it has been making me want to bake more! I am really missing it right now! So i thought i would post a couple of my fav recipes that i have tried lately. This first one is to die for. Its a recipe from my uncle and we just discovered it at the family christmas party this year. We have made it quite a few times since then. I warn you it is dangerous tho, i litterally have no self control with this dessert! Its a great dessert to take to family parties because it makes a big sheet cake pan full, its also really easy to half and just make a 9x13 for smaller get togethers. Either way it is delish and you should definately give it a try!
Peanut Butter Sheet Cake
Ingredients:
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla

Frosting:
3/4 cup butter
6 Tbsp buttermilk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 package of reese's peanut butter cups chopped (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a medium pot add the peanut butter, water, and butter and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, and baking soda with a fork. Add to the peanut butter mixture.
4. Add the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla to the bowl and mix well.
5. Stir well and pour into greased or parchment lined cookie sheet pan (jellyroll pan). Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

For the Frosting:
1. In a small pot bring the butter, buttermilk, and peanut butter to a boil.
2. Remove pan from the heat and add the powdered sugar and vanilla.
3. Pour frosting over the warm cake.
4. Crush up Reese's cups and sprinkle on top of frosting.

The next dessert is also peanut butter and chocolate together which is one of my fav combinations! I came across this on pinterest and had to give it a try one night! This dessert definately taste better warm tho so eat it right when you make them or heat them back up if you eat them later! You def. have to do the frosting on top, that is what puts them over the edge! I didnt add quite that much butter and also i switched out the sugar for truvia! It was delish! Sorry If these arent the best pix i dont know much about taking pix of food! The recipe is from southyourmouth.blogspot.com
Sorry i didnt realize the recipe cut off. You just stir until the oatmeal is mixed in completely and drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Then I just got powdered sugar, cocoa powder and some milk and I didnt really measure i just mixed untill it tasted good and had the right consistency and drizzled it over the top. Delish!
Something a little healther that I love to eat lately is this mixture. I have tried to start eating greek yogurt and its so bitter so I buy the plain Chiobani greek yogurt and I just flavor it myself. This one is one of my favorites.
small container of greek yogurt
one mashed up banana
2 tsp give or take of cocoa powder
1 tbs give or take of peanut butter, depends on how much you like
sliced almonds
I also will add chia seeds sometimes thanks to my friend awnaliese those have now become part of my diet!
Another favorite recipe that is not super healthy but delicious is;
one container of greek yogurt
1 TBS nutella.
you can add strawberries or bananas as well. SO good!!
So I thought I would write a little about what we have been up to lately. The reason things have been so crazy is because my husbands job requires us to travel a bit and we are in arizona a lot during this time of year. It is beautiful down here and we have been having so much fun soaking up the sun and being outside! Now that Brielle is getting a little older its been fun to go do things outside she loves going to the park and her favorite is swimming. She would swim all day if I let her. She loves coloring, getting her nails and toes done and dressing up like cinderella! She also loves to watch doc mcstuffins on the disney channel so my mom got her a little Dr's kit for her birthday and she loves to pretend she's doc mcstuffins with her stuffed animals. :) So cute. We have had my sister down with her little man wyatt visiting for a couple weeks. Its been a lot of fun having some company and spending time with her cute little guy. This last week my mom came down to visit as well. We had so much fun having her here and getting to do fun things together. We went swimming, shopping, out to dinner, played cards and just had fun spending time together. Brielle had so much fun having her nana come visit her. Since they wont be here for my birthday my cute mom and sis decorated a little bit and made me one of my favorite treats. They are so sweet it was fun to have them around. Im not super excited about my birthday this year i dont know why! I keep thinking you are only in your 20's for ten years and its already going by way too fast for me! I want time to slow down a little! Im just going to post a bunch of pictures of what we have been up to lately!
Life has been so crazy lately I have had no time to sit and write down anything thats been going on lately. Its been bothering me so I am excited to finally sit down and write everything thats been going on lately in our lives!Im gonna go back to my sweet little womans 2nd birthday which was January 29! I spent a lot of time on her party. It was really fun planning and getting things together but next year I might take it easy and not do such a big party, it was a little stressful! But totally worth it seeing brielle having so much fun surrounded by all her favorite people! Brielle absolutely loves Cinderella! So with the movie being so big right now there was so much cinderella stuff out so I decided to do a cinderella theme! I did Rice krispie treats shaped like cinderellas glass slipper and crowns and I did red velvet and funfetti cupcakes and white chocolate popcorn with blue sprinkles. There was a princess pinata for the kids and they played pin the shoe on cinderella. I also found this life size cinderella that I just could not pass up for the kids to get pictures with! Brielle was in heaven. She also dressed up like cinderella too which was so fun! Thank you so much to everyone who came and made it such a fun day! This was her cute little invitation :) Brielle with Cinderella :) One of my fav pix! I Had so many more cute pix of everyone who came but they are on our camera back home so when we get back I will post more pix!!! Since my mom and Brielle share the same birthday the next day we had my mom over for dinner and presents and celebrated her birthday as well!I once again only have a couple pix on my phone I have much better ones back home that i will post! Happy birthday to two of the most amazing girls in my life!Love you guys!! :) Also Dans cousin Anna is starting out photography and she took Brielle out to get a few birthday pictures awhile back so I thought I would share a couple! Brielle did pretty good it was FREEZING outside! They turned out really cute! She has grown so much even from these pictures it makes me sad!

For my first post I thought I would write a little about our family. I met my husband back in 2007. It was a blind date that I was pretty opposed to and very nervous about, blind dates were not my thing. After not really wanting to go and finally deciding I couldnt pass up front row seats to the Jazz game I went and never looked back. It was the best first date I had ever had. We talked non stop like old friends and our releationship continued to grow from there.
This is an old pictures of us when we were dating...the good old days!
We were married on June 5, 2009. Aside from a little rain we had a beautiful wedding. Heres a picture or two from that day.
Once we got married we moved into a cute little townhouse
We have now about outgrown this cute little house! We both went to Weber State University and graduated in technical sales together. It was really fun having a lot of classes together and getting to go through school and all the fun that comes with it together! I was very pregnant when I graduated with my degree and I was so happy to finish school before out little princess came along!
This was the night before I had Brielle! I will post a few pix of her way back then!
The last one was the day she got her ears pierced I was so excited i have loved having her cute little ears pierced! This cute little woman was born January 29, 2011. She was actually born the same day as my mom so they share the same birthday! I will post more on that later since they have their birthdays coming up soon! :) This little cutie has been so fun to have around she makes me laugh everyday she is my best little friend and I cant wait to see what the future brings!
As for me and my husband, we are still going to Jazz games and we are still best friends.
Im excited about this new year and what it will bring our little family of 3!
